2009 Art Makes a Difference:
The Seventh Annual MOMart Show
May 1, 2, and 3

at Durham's Golden Belt
to benefit Genesis Home

Art Makes a Difference: The Seventh Annual MOMart Show, hosted by Just a Few Friends, a Durham, North Carolina, community nonprofit organization, will be held May 1, 2, and 3, 2009. Just a Few Friends exists to raise money for local charitable organizations through the support of local and regional artists. This year's chosen charity is Genesis Home. One hundred percent of the net proceeds will go to this organization. The three-day event begins with a Friday evening preview party, 7 to 10 p.m. The cost is $25 at the door ($15 for students; 12 and under, free). Saturday’s all-day open house runs from 9 am to 4 pm and features art and crafts such as container gardens, birdhouses, plants, and garden art in addition to jewelry, paintings, photography, sculpture, stained glass, textiles, and pottery. We've added one more day to the event this year, so if you can't make it Friday or Saturday, come on out on Sunday, from 12-4 pm and support this great cause and more than 100 local and regional artists! The sale will be held at Golden Belt (Building 2, Floor 3), a historic 155,000 square foot urban arts campus in the heart of downtown Durham, NC.
